We will reduce violence through democratic nation's principle

The Women's Administration in Deir ez- Zor held separate meetings in al-Jazrat and al-Hawaij areas in conjunction with approaching the International Day of Combating Violence against Women.

Where in each meeting, dozens of women of the area have attended, and during the meetings, the member of the Women's Council of al-Jazrat Zahra al-Tayeh has clarified that the woman is whoever discovered humanity and fought to preserve the values ​​discovered, but the male mentality which ruled the community deprived her of her rights.

In her turn, the member of the Women's Council in al-Kasrat area Laila al-Abdullah pointed out that IS mercenaries who have occupied the area for many years deprived women of their role in all fields and used them as a commodity to be sold and bought. She added, "Today, after liberating the area from the mercenaries, women began to play their pioneering role in the society. Through the principle of the democratic nation, women will be able to reduce the violence against themselves."

At the end of the meetings, the discussions were open to the audience as they focused on how to reduce violence against women and about the reason of announcing the Global Day to Combat Violence against Women on November 25.
