Turkish occupation mercenaries' violations turned Afrin into prison for its people

Amid its occupation of Afrin canton, the violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries are increasing day by day against Afrin canton's people as they are classified as war crimes; abducting, killing, displacing the indigenous people, launching attacks on beliefs and imposing the Turkish culture on the people of the area.

Large numbers of Afrin canton's families are flocking towards al-Shahba canton due to Turkish occupation's brutal practice in order to join the path of resistance for the freedom from injustice and ending the attacks launched by occupiers against Afrin people.

Afrin's family has arrived to Tel-Rifat district in al-Shahba canton, fleeing the Turkish occupation's brutal practices.

The family preferred not to give identifying information about itself for fear about their relatives who are still existed in Afrin under the domination of the mercenaries, but they reported information to ANHA about what they saw and suffered from by the mercenaries.

The people of Afrin are victims of mercenaries' differences among themselves

The mercenary gangs of the Turkish occupation army clash with each other day due to differences and contradictions on the background of the sharing of properties, and the olives yield owned by the people of Afrin.

The mercenaries, to prove to their opponents of mercenaries that they could collect much money, resort to kidnapping the civilians for demanding the ransom and threatening them of killing to force the parents to secure the determined amount of money in any way whatever it is expensive.

Homeowners are living in their homes with rent

The so-called Local Council in Afrin, established by the Turkish occupation's mercenaries, released a circular calling on the residents to review the Local Council (Property and Real Estate Documentation Office) with all the proofs concerning their properties in order to authenticate them officially.

The eyewitness who returns from Afrin confirmed that the mercenaries demanded the residents who are living in their homes to prove their ownership of real estate or identification of property, and anyone who does not have papers, the mercenaries seize the house and rent it to the owner of the house.

The returned from Afrin pointed out that the mercenaries monthly demand the homeowners who do not have identification cards to pay US $ 200 to stay.

Kidnapping of children for ransom increases

The Turkish occupation army's mercenaries are still kidnapping the civilians, and recently, the abduction of children in return for ransom has increased.

As a result, the phenomenon of the abduction of children in Afrin has increased in recent times, especially if the mercenaries know that the financial situation of a family is fairly good, they kidnap their children for a ransom which is probably more than two thousand dollars.

Schools, public places have been turned into military headquarters

The Turkish occupation army's mercenaries have turned the schools into military headquarters for themselves, so that, in each one or two streets, there is a military headquarters to put pressure on the people.

According to the returned from Afrin, the mercenaries used al-Karama school in the Old Afrin neighborhood as the headquarters of the military police which is consisted of elements of the mercenary gangs.

And the girls' high school in the new Afrin neighborhood, near Azadi Square, to the police headquarters, the Cultural Center headquarters of al-Hamzat Diviosn , and the school of Faisal al-Qudour is existed in  Janders district as headquarters of MIT

And they have turned the center of the Legislative Council of DAA to Afrin canoton , to the headquarters of the governor of Turkey, who runs Afrin, and the center of the bank to the headquarters of the mercenary battalion Abu Maryam.

Cutting water, and stealing public utilities

The returned from Afrin said that the mercenaries had stolen the electricity poles in Afrin's streets after they dismantled the railway lines in the village of Qatma in Shara district and Midan Akbas in Rajo district and sold them to the iron merchants in Azaz area.

In addition to cutting off the public water that is pumped from Midanki Dam as the water is pumped to the residents every two months, knowing that it was pumped once a week. In return, each reservoir of water is sold for 2,000 Syrian pounds.

Woe to those who harvest the olive crop

He said that no one could go to the olive field to harvest their crop. They seized the crop and began to export it through the newly opened crossing border in the village of Hamam in Janders district between Afrin canton and the Turkish territories.

Three mercenary gangs stole his tractor

The returned from Afrin recounted that several gangs of mercenaries stole his tractor to force him to pay money to retrieve the tractor.

He said that in the first time, the military police has seized it when it was parked in al-Mahmudiyah neighborhood in the center of the canton and they asked him to pay 50,000 Syrian pounds to be returned, in the second time, al- Sultan Murad mercenaries has seized it and he paid to them 50,000 Syrian pounds, while in the third time, Ahrara al-Sharqiya mercenaries has seized it and they demanded him to pay 300 dollars. After retrieving it, the mercenaries of Ahrar al-Sharqiya returned to steal it again and demanded $ 3,000.

The family does not have all that money, and after expiring all what they have, they have no longer demanded the agricultural tractors from mercenaries.
