Elham Ahmed: Turkey's violations aim to prolong IS life, Syrian solution by consensus constitution

Girê Spî Canton Council held a public gathering under the slogan "We are advocates of peace not killing of innocents advocates", which focused on developments in the area.

The meeting, which was held at the Academy of Martyr Ammar al-Hassan for Intellectual Training, attended by hundreds of elders and sheikhs of the region and members of Canton Councils and Administrations in addition to a large crowd of people.

The head of the Executive Body of the Democratic Syria Council, Elham Ahmed also attended the meeting and delivered a speech about the latest developments on the Syrian arena in general and the Syrian north in particular.

She added "The attacks of the recent Turkish occupation on areas in the north of Syria is not new, it is an aggressor state that is always trying to destabilize the security of the Syrian north, especially Syria in general, as it did in the areas of the Syrian interior" Homs and Hama "by supporting its mercenaries to provoke confusion to achieve their interests and ambitions."

Elham noted "The Turkish government is hostile to our democratic project in the northern regions of Syria, and is always trying to block it through its violations and move its internal agenda to create chaos in the region."

Elham Ahmed pointed out that the Turkish government is trying to legitimize its intervention in the Syrian territories under the pretext of lifting the oppression of its people against the oppression of the ruling regime in Damascus.

She pointed out that Turkey's recent attacks on the northern regions of Syria are aimed at prolonging the life of IS in its last stronghold (Hajin), noting that it was facilitating transit to the areas of Syria and Iraq to achieve their interests here and there.

Elham Ahmed condemned the international silence about the violations of the Turkish government against the innocent people and the killing of innocent citizens.

Elham stressed at the end of her speech "we are always open to dialogue to resolve the Syrian crisis, which will be on a principled basis and not reconciliation, and will be through Syrian consensual constitution guarantees all the rights of the Syrians."
