A number of the people of Girê Spî have said in meetings conducted by ANHA agency that they reject any Turkish aggression on their land, stressing their standing in the face of any attempt of occupation by Turkey.

The talk of the people came as a rejection of the recent Turkish attacks on the areas in North Syria, particularly the attacks on their city, which resulted in the martyrdom of six-year-old Sara Rifat Mustafa by a sniper while she was returning from school earlier this month.

The citizen Yousif al-Hamoud said, "We reject categorically any interference by the Turkish occupation state because we live in the north and east of Syria freely and democratically. The Turkish occupation state is an occupied Ottoman state and we will not allow it to enter our territory until the last drop of blood.

Al-Hamoud wondered, "On which basis Turkey wants to enter to our territory? We, the peoples of coexistence since ancient times, have been living in peace and security and will not allow it to enter an inch of our land."

The citizen Omar has described the Turkish occupation state as a colonial state and added, "We saw this through its occupation of the city of Afrin and the displacement of its people in addition to looting the property of the unarmed civilians. How can we allow such an occupying state to enter our territory?"

In a related context, the citizen Sara Khalil said, "We tell Erdogan that we steadfast and will not allow him to enter an inch of our territory. We are one people and we reject any interference or aggression on our soil because we live in security and safety within the democracy we are applying in the north and east of Syria."

"We will stand by our forces to defend our land against the Turkish occupation," she concluded.
