Uunprecedented activity in al-Raqqa city

After the liberation of the city of al-Raqqa from IS mercenaries by virtue of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF on October 20 last year, the markets, shops, public facilities, hospitals and bakeries which have witnessed massive destruction as a result of their being booby by mercenaries.

Al-Raqqa city 's markets are witnessing an expansion of purchases and the opening of shops, especially in "Tel -Abyad Street, al Mansour Street, al -Wadi Street, 23rd February Street, and al- Amassi Street, which is densly crowded is considered of the main streets of the city.

The owner of the pastry shop in Tel-Abyed street, Abu Ahmed, said: " My shop has been compeletly destryed  as the rest of the shops and now I work again, and all the shops returned to its previous work despite the difficulties facing us.

Schools

For the most part, the schools in al-Raqqa city, where almost completely destroyed, over the years during the presence of mercenaries the children are denied of their educational rights,People 's Municipality has worked to remove the rubble inside the schools where Pedagogy and Education has rushed to return children to their seats, where 317 schools have been repaired in the city and countryside during this year.

Bakeries

In the city of al-Raqqa and its countryside there are 64 bakeries between private and public. In the city's countryside there are 27 and 37 bakeries are existed in the center of the city providing the bread at a price appropriate in addition to their high quality

Hospitals

The medical centers were completely destroyed. The city has 39 medical centers. 30 medical centers were completely destroyed and 9 have been partially destroyed, At least 40 pharmacies have been opened in al-Raqqa city ,8 hospitals were opened 3 of them in the countryside as well as medical facilities within the city and its countryside, and now the National Hospital in the city is being repaired to returning to service by next year.

Gardens

The parks, which are considered the breath of the city, have been destroyed and the trees burned, not to mention their use for mass graves. The municipality is working to restore the beauty and  City's splendor.

During the year, the following gardens are equipped: "al-Rashid  Park is considered of the foundation of the city being located in the center of the city, al- Bustan Park, al- Bayda Park, al-Bagaah".

In this context, the Co-chair of the People's Municipality in al-Raqqa Ahmed Al-Ibrahim said: "The municipality has worked on a plan to prepare and clean all the gardens in the beginning, and the future plan will be to plant all the gardens and restore the rest of them being damaged"
