YPG: Thwarting 13 attacks , 3 of them related to Turkish MIT

The Media Center of the People's Protection Units published a statement to the media and public opinion on its official website, revealing the outcome of the military operations and the operations carried out by the Protection Units during last October.

The full text of the statement is as follows:

The revolution of Rojava today became a model for all wars of resistance in the Middle East, a revolution that achieved victorious over terrorist organizations and occupiers in the region. The continuous resistance of our forces, YPG and YPJ have had the main role in these war, targeting and inflicting the Turkish occupation heavy losses. On the other hand, the Turkish occupation continues its violations in all its forms, targeting the border guards and the citizens of Kobanî– Girê Spî – Serê Kaniyê – al-Darbasiya - Qamishlo. As YPG we responded appropriately and legitimately to all such attacks.

Our struggle against IS continues, and the goal of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign is to eliminate IS.

Anti-Terror Units and Special Operations Units carried out operations against the sleeper cells of the Turkish intelligence and IS, who were deployed in several locations in Rojava. Special operations were successfully carried out, and many terrorist operations were thwarted.

The outcome of the operations that targeted the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and terrorists in October:

Units of our forces carried out 19 operations, including sniper, ambush and incursion against the Turkish occupation in Afrin, the outcome of operations:

-Killing 42 elements of the occupation mercenaries, 3 of them elements in the Turkish army.

-10 mercenaries were wounded

-8 vehicles were destroyed

The Turkish occupation increased its violations on the border. From October 28 to date, the occupation targeted both Kobanî and Girê Spî areas with heavy weapons and targeted unarmed civilians directly in the areas of Serê Kaniyê, al-Darbasiya and Qamishlo. On the other hand, our units seized an unmanned drone in Kobanî belonging to the Turkish occupation after being downed.

As a result of the attacks, 2 of Self-Defense Duty fighters were martyred, the 6-year-old Sara Mustafa martyred, and  a fighter of Self-Defense Duty and four civilians were wounded and our troops responded as part of the legitimate defense to the attacks.

The outcome of the operations carried out by Anti-Terror Units and Special Operations Units against IS and sleeper cells:

In October, our units carried out 5 successful operations against IS in al-Jazeera area.

Special Operations Forces carried out 34 operations.

In the operations, 90 mercenaries were arrested, including three foreigners.

As a result of the operations, 13 planned terrorist operations were thwarted, 3 of which have links with Turkish intelligence(MIT).

As a result of the operations  the official of al-Hamza mercenaries was killed, and an element of IS also was killed.

-In the operations carried out by our units, 20 Kalashnikovs were seized, 1 pistol, 1 binoculars, an amount of ammunition and a quantity of other weapons.

-In October, 4 of our fighters were martyred in the framework of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, as well as the martyrdom of a fighter due to a heart attack, and a fighter was martyred as a result of an accident.
