During the period of the presence of IS mercenaries in Syria, the mercenaries imposed laws on the people of various components, but the Kurdish component who lived in the city of al-Raqqa has the largest share of the laws and criminal acts carried out by the mercenaries.

The family of the two citizens, Mahmud Muslim and Khalil Muslim, are residents of Kobani. They lived in the north-western suburb of al-Raqqa for more than 20 years, alongside the Arab people without distinction. But the mercenaries and their control over the city and the countryside spread sedition, division among the peoples.

After the liberation of the city of al-Raqqa from ISIS by the Syrian Democratic Forces on 20 October, and the extension of security and safety throughout the streets and countryside, thousands of people returned to their homes.

Among the families who were forcibly displaced by the mercenaries were the family of Mahmud and Khalil, but their homes became a pile of ashes.

Mahmoud Muslim, 45, living in al-Twila village for more than 20 years recounted the story of his deportation from al-Raqqa by the mercenaries: "After the takeover of IS mercenaries of al-Raqqa city and its suburb, they issued a decision to expel the Kurds from them. We were informed of the need to evacuate the area within 24 hours at the same time they asked us to go to the city of Palmyra exclusively.

He added: "For fear of our lives and the lives of our people, we fled at night to the city of Kobani, and some Arab friends have helped us to cross to Kobani. They kept the rest behind us from the furniture of our homes. Two and a half years later, al-Raqqa city was liberated from ISIS, we returned to our homes and our people. Our Arab neighbor brought us back the full of our possessions from the furniture of our houses which they have hidden so as not to be stolen by IS mercenaries.

Khalil Muhammed Muslim, 38, who has 6 daughters and two children and lives in al-Raqqa 20 years ago, said: "IS mercenaries are not enough to arrest men, stab women and take them as cabtivity, but they forcibly evicted us and confiscate our property after the liberation of al-Raqqa, we returned to my home, I saw it destroyed. "

"Now after the liberation of the city, I live in the tent with my family and I do not care about my ruined house as much as I care about my land, which my joy returned when I returned to it.
