With speeches, artistic performances calling for fraternity of peoples, FSP festival concluded

The people, clans’ notables, commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces, political figures and delegations from North Syria flocked towards al-Raqqa city to attend the festival sponsored by the Future Syria Party to introduce the principles and objectives of the Future Syria Party.

The festival was held in the center of the city at the municipal stadium. After holding a minute of silence, the head of the Health Committee in al-Raqqa Civil Council Mohanned al-Kikaji welcomed the attendees and noted that this festival is the first festival in the north of Syria, and choosing al-Raqqa to hold the festival there is as a strike to the mercenaries and their supporters as after liberation, it has become a place for the fraternity of peoples and co-existence, not a place for the mercenaries.

This was followed by the speech of the Future Syria Party which was delivered by the head Ibrahim al-Qaftan who said, “The Future Syria Party depends on the thought of the democratic nation and the fraternity of peoples, and our thought calls for a pluralistic and decentralized Syria that gathers all the spectra of the Syrian people under the principle of the peoples’ fraternity and co-existence without discrimination. We also aspire to participate in re-drafting a new Syrian constitution that aims at building the future Syria.”

Al-Qaftan added, "Today, we are in al-Raqqa city that was taken by the mercenaries as a capital of their alleged state in Iraq and Syria, and this place where we are existed in was used by the mercenaries to spread their obscurantist thought and to spread fear in the hearts of our residents in al-Raqqa city, but thanks to the sacrifices of North Syria people and the solidarity of its peoples, the city was liberated from terrorism.”

Al-Qaftan continued, “We contribute to establishing administrations in the Syrian north and Syria in general as a successful model to end the Syrian crisis to restore security and stability. We have to stand against anyone who wants to strike our gains. We, in the Future Syria Party, seek and develop the peace project.”

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Amina Omer said, “Today, from this place which has become a symbol of the fraternity of peoples, peace and security, the people of Syria in all spectra have formed a homogenous national fabric, and throughout history, they have participated in defeating terrorism and the resistance against the enemies. We have not forgotten the sacrifices made to liberate the area.”

Amina Omer added, “This place was known as a place of killing, slaughtering, stirring terrorism and terror, but today, it has become a beacon to light the paths of passion and peace, all these were thanks to the sacrifices of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).”

The administrator in the Martyrs’ Families Institution Shams Saleh said, “By liberating al-Raqqa, the people of the area have been liberated. We express condolences to the families of the martyrs who thanks to them we enjoy freedom and safety, and we must preserve the martyrs’ gains and achievements.”

The festival concluded with presenting Zerdasht Kobanî, Folkloric Arts in al-Tabqa and Durret al-Furat theater performances and popular songs about the culture of the peoples of the area amid chanting the slogans that call for the fraternity of peoples and salute the resistance of SDF.
