Kobanî revolts condemning plot against leader Ocalan in its 20th anniversary

The residents of Kobanî and Tal Abyad cantons of various components are protesting on Tuesday by a call from the Democratic Community Movement in the canton, condemning the international conspiracy against the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the plot, which began on 9 October, 1998, when Ocalan left Syria and ended on February 15, 1999, with his arrest by the Turkish intelligence in a plot involving several international intelligence agencies.

Since his arrest, Turkish authorities have isolated the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and tightened isolation in 2015, with no reports of his condition or his health status. The Turkish court has refused to hold meetings with him and his family and lawyers since then.

As part of the anniversary of the plot, and denouncing the Turkish violations, a protest is being held on Tuesday in Kobanî city, where residents from several areas of the Euphrates region, which includes the cantons of Kobanî and Tal Abyiad took part

The stand begins at 4:00 pm in the square of the martyr Ageid under the slogan "in the spirit of Resistance of the Age, we will fail the international conspiracy and achieve freedom for the leader Ocalan."

And coinciding with the stand organized in Kobanî, it is scheduled that many cities will witness protests in North Syria condemning the international conspiracy and demanding for the freedom of Ocalan.

The residents of Kobanî confirmed that they continue in the path of their leader Ocalan, and they will escalate the struggle until the achievement of his freedom.
