Presidential elections’ winners of Afrin and al-Shahba announced

On Sunday, elections for the Autonomous Administration’s bodies were held in Afrin and al-Shahba cantons during an extended meeting held in al-Shahba canton within the framework of the program of restructuring the Autonomous Administration of Afrin region and renewing the members according to the decisions of Afrin Liberation Conference

After voting and sorting the votes, the High Electoral Commission announced the winners’ names of the presidency of the Autonomous Administration bodies in the two cantons.

24 candidates among them 14 for Afrin canton and 10 for al-Shahba canton.

The names of the winners according to the High Electoral Commission for Afrin canton include, Suleiman Jafar, Bakr Alo, Fayeq Ahmed, Israfeel Bakir Mostafa, Abdel Hamid Bekri, Aref Sheikho, Ahmed Suleiman Kubek, Mushira Mulla Rashid, Berivan Khalil, Hevin Hussein, Fatima Lecto, Shiraz Hamo, Zalloukh Esmat Rashid and Goleh Jemmu.

For al-Shahba canton, Nedim Nassan, Muhammed Ahmed Khedro, Ahmed Hamdu, Hamed Restum, Warda Sheikho, Aisha Hussein, Medya Hamdek, Selwa Ajaj, Melek Hussein and Mohammed Wissi.

The joint presidency of the Legislative and Executive Councils of the two cantons is scheduled to be elected later, and the winners in the elections will swear the oath before the Electoral Commission.
