Photo, names of civilians claimed by Turkish occupation as YPG fighters

The media outlets of the Turkish occupation published in the beginning of September news which stated that the Turkish occupation authorities arrested 9 fighters of YPG in Afrin.

Our agency obtained photo and names of the detained civilians. They are civilians from Omera village of ​​Mabata district in Afrin canton and they have no connection with YPG contrary to the Turkish allegations.

The allegations of the Turkish media outlets came after a series of operations carried out by YPG against the Turkish occupation army’s forces in Afrin and its countryside within the second stage of Afrin liberation campaign, during which the forces dealt painful blows to the occupation forces and mercenaries.

YPG have previously refuted the Turkish allegations during an official statement published by ANHA agency at the time. The units said that the Turkish allegations are just a misleading media to hide their losses from the opinion.

The statement of the units included, “By these rumors, they try to mislead the public opinion that they control all the districts of Afrin with their safety and stability, but the recent incidents have proved that the Turkish mercenaries are fleeing Afrin towards Turkey because of the increasing of the reprisals within the Resistance of the Age.”
