Clashes in Başûr, Bakur areas, 10 Turkish soldiers killed

HPG's media center confirmed that 10 Turkish soldiers were killed in a series of operations carried out by the Guerilla Forces in Barzan and Şirnex.

HPG’s media center issued a statement to the public opinion in which it disclosed the outcomes of the operations carried out against the Turkish occupation on September 22-23 in Barzan of Başûr Kurdistan and Qeblan district of Şirnex city of Bakur Kurdistan.

The text of the statement included,

In the framework of the revolutionary campaign which was launched in the name of the Martyrs Pîroz and Agirî on September 23 at 6:30, our forces carried out an operation against the Turkish occupation army in Bayraq hill of Barzan area of Başûr Kurdistan and dealt the Turkish occupation’s fortifications heavy blows from 3 axes. According to the information, at least, 6 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army were killed.

After the series of operations ended, the Turkish occupation army bombarded the area with mortars and obis and set fire on the orchards of the civilians in the area.

Four soldiers killed in Qelban

On September 22, our forces carried out a special operation against the enemy on Almonah hill in Qelban district in Şirnex. The operation resulted in destroying the enemy’s points, fortifications and a carrier of the enemy completely. The information also confirmed the killing of 4 soldiers of the Turkish occupation.

Clashes and operations in Amed

On September 22 at 19:00, the Turkish army launched an operation with the help of reconnaissance aircrafts on the axis of Zenkasur village of Legê district in Amed.

On September 23 at 00:10, the warplanes and helicopters bombed the areas of clashes, while the soldiers carried out an airdrop operation in the area using Skorski aircraft so that battles erupted between our forces and them later. According to the confirmed information, the clashes resulted in killing and wounding a number of Turkish soldiers.

On the same day, the Turkish occupation army withdrew from the area at 03:00.

Two of our fighters fought the enemy and to not be captured by the enemy, they detonated their hand grenades at themselves and joined the rank of martyrdom. The identity of the fighters will be disclosed in an official statement later."
