Beekeeping... Small projects, great difficulties

Honey is a very healthy and useful food that works to treat many diseases. It is massively demanded in many parts of the world. Beekeeping is one of the most successful projects in terms of the capital cycle, as well as one of the strongest projects in terms of the capital cycle after following up the right methods of breeding

In spite of the region's lack of rich beekeeping pastures, the Agriculture Directorate in al-Tabqa area encouraged these projects through providing facilities through the licensing of many of the seven beekeepers throughout the area. The licensee has the right to travel throughout the areas of North Syria with bee apiary, also they inform the owner of bees about the date of spraying pesticides in agricultural lands located in the area two or three days ago to ensure the safety of bees.

The administrator in the Livestock Department affiliated to the Agriculture Department Sarah al-Sheikh pointed out to a number of difficulties that the breeders suffered of in their work as the absence of centers for the granting of vaccines for bees in the area in addition to the absence of centers to sell queen bees which are expensive, causing other difficulties for breeders in the area in the absence of a sponsor of their projects or union that meets their needs.
