AA’s bodies in North-East Syria to be announced in days

The Syrian Democratic Council announced the formation of the AA of the northern and eastern areas of Syria on September 6 during the meeting held at the council's center in Ain Issa district on the basis of the decision that was emerged from the third institutional meeting of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) of Syria in al-Tabqa city on 16 July.

During the meeting, Siham Qario and Farid Atti were elected as co-chairs of the General Council of the AA of North and East Syria in addition to electing a general divan composed of five members for the council.

Berivan Khaled and Abdul Hamid al-Muhabash were elected as co-chairs for the Executive Body of the AA which will form 10 executive bodies whose formation within 21 days was agreed on.

The Executive Committee is working on the formation of the new administration “the Bodies” whose task will be to overcome the difficulties of communication among the Autonomous and Civil Administrations in North and East Syria.

The preparatory committee which is the AA’s General Council and consisted of 70 members from various cities and bodies in North Syria supervises the formation of the AA’s bodies for North and East Syria based on technology, experience, scientific qualifications, work, age and whoever can take responsibility during the coming period according to the members of the committee.

The number of bodies that are formed is 10 bodies and 7 offices. They are related to services such as the interior, culture, health and development matters, and they have nothing to do with political matters. The administration is a service administration to overcome the difficulties and provide the best services to the citizens during the next stage.

The bodies will take unified decisions at the level the Syrian north in coordination between the Autonomous and Civil Administrations such as unifying the customs duties and fuel prices and the travel and movement permits among the cities in the north of Syria which will be canceled with the announcement of the bodies and the start of their work.

In this context, the member of the preparatory committee of the AA of North and East Syria Hikmet Hebib said in an interview held with Hawar news agency, “We are achieving significant benefits in terms of reconstruction and the return of the displaced and all these things need a unified management to achieve the best services for the people.”

The member of the preparatory committee pointed out that the AA of North and East Syria is extend from Deir ez-Zor and Qamişlo to al-Raqqa, al-Tabqa, Manbaj, Kobanî, Afrin and Jarabulus to Girê Spî and al-Hasakah. On this basis, the members of this new administration will be chosen and they will be from these areas.

These bodies will coordinate among all the cities and areas of North Syria and take joint strategic decisions that are an interest to the people of the area with maintaining the pre-existed Autonomous and Civil Administrations that will remain working.

Furthermore, the AA’s bodies will be announced within the next few days.
