Ain Issa camp’s administration: keen to guarantee children’s right to education

The access to education is one of the rights recognized in all international charters, codes, and organizations, for this reason, the Ain Issa camp’s administration has been keen to implement this since children have been deprived of it during the war-long years.

The camp’s administration has opened a school in the camp, while coordinating with some working organizations in the camp to help in opening other schools to receive children and assure their access to the right of education.

The number of students in the camp’s schools is 2,960 from 6 to 12 years old as follows: 500 students in the camp’s school which is supervised by the Civil Council of al-Raqqa, 1,185 students in al-Quba school, and 1,275 in Wifaq school.

The syllabus taught in all al-Raqqa and its countryside’s schools is given in the camp’s school, while  following the self-teaching method in the schools the organization have opened; which is an international syllabus translated according to the target state.

Jalal al-Ayaf, an administrator in Ain Issa camp said, “All children within the camp have been received in the schools, we were keen that every child has access to education and not be deprived of their basic right.”

Al-Ayaf appealed to humanitarian organizations to support the education sector with a dispensary to treat urgent cases that may emerge , as well as uniform, stationary and other school requirements.
