Amuda people asserted that their activities to continue till ending isolation

The participants in the hunger strike confirmed that they continue to organize events condemning the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan until it would be ended in a statement issued on the last day of the hunger strike.

The people of Amuda district of Qamishlo canton ended on Sunday a two-day hunger strike in a tent in the center of the district by issuing a statement saying that they would not stop organizing the activities that condemn the isolation until it would be ended.

On the last day of the strike, the tent was decorated with the pictures of the leader Ocalan, hundreds of people flocked towards it in the morning hours wearing white clothes and refusing the isolation on Ocalan.

The residents ended their hunger strike by issuing a statement to the public, and it was read by Laila Suleiman Mohammed.

The statement said:

"The aim of the hunger strike was to denounce the continued isolation on the leader Ocalan and urge the humanitarian and human rights organizations to conduct their duty to stop what the Turkish state is doing and to lift the isolation imposed on our leader.

Our youths sacrificed their lives for the leader, so we declare that our marches and activities that condemn the isolation will not stop, but they will continue until the isolation would be ended and the liberation of our leader would be achieved."
