Separate statements on occasion of World Peace Day

In conjunction with the World Peace Day, a number of social institutions issued a series of statements to the public opinion, asking for the liberation of Abdullah Ocalan and denouncing the demographic change processes carried out in Afrin canton.

ALEPPO

The statement of the Martyrs' Families Council was read by the member Nidal Aref in front of the center of the Martyrs' Families Council in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the presence of dozens of the council's members.

The text of statement included,

"We congratulate all the peoples and organizations that love peace and fraternity on the World Peace Day. We know that in the end of the Second World War and as a result of the bloodshed of more than 50 million people and the destruction of the infrastructure of many cities left catastrophic consequences for humanity. Therefore, and in respect for the victims of the war, they called this day when the war that began on September 1, the World Peace Day.

The statement  noted that since peace is united with the goals of our freedom, TEV-DEM that was adopted by the leader Abdullah Ocalan, where freedom, brotherhood and mutual recognition among all the components of the people in the Middle East and the theories of the democratic nation existed, but unfortunately, all the claims of peace have not worked with these the national fascist regimes, headed by the Turkish state which violates all the international conventions and which arrested the leader 19 years ago and imposed isolation on him.

Turkey entered into a conflict with the Islamic terrorist agendas in the aim of striking the gains of the peoples in the area and destabilizing the security and stability prevailed in the region which is managed by this movement, and the last of which was the Turkish occupation’s practices, including the occupation of Afrin and the destruction of the infrastructure in addition to burning the nature.

We, as Martyrs' Families Council in Aleppo, condemn the terrorist acts, demographic change and looting operations in Afrin, and say that a third world war has been erupted and it was caused by the Turkish fascist occupation."

AL-HASAKAH

The statement was read in front of the Computer School in al-Salihiya neighborhood by the administrator in the Training Committee of the Democratic Society for women Songul Mohammed.

The statement said,

"On the occasion of the World Peace Day and on behalf of the Training Committee in the Democratic Society for Women, we call upon the jurist organizations and the peaceful and democratic figures in the world to liberate the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, the author of the democratic philosophy and the peoples’ fraternity. Ocalan was arrested within an international conspiracy in 1999 as he is a detainee to the Turkish authority in Imrali prison and all his rights are stolen.

For the freedom of the leader Ocalan, we call on all Human Rights organizations to take their humanitarian duty towards the isolation imposed on the leader by Turkey."

AL-SHAHBA

In Serdem camp and in conjunction with the World Peace Day, the Culture and Art Body in Afrin denounced the isolation imposed by the Turkish state on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan in a statement.

The statement noted that the Turkish state and through the isolation that it imposed on Ocalan targeted the revolution of freedom and equality and the democratic nation's project in addition to severing his connection with the people.

The statement concluded, "In conjunction with the World Peace Day, we appeal to all the international organizations and bodies and all the peoples and components to denounce the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan."
