Afrin people denounce Turkish occupation's violations

The brutal practices of the Turkish occupation and its gangs have escalated in Afrin canton in the recent days, Afrin canton's people expressed their bitter resentment and the international community and human rights organizations are still keeping silent against these unbearable violations.

In addition to the increasing number of kidnappings, killings, extortion, looting and destruction of property belonging to Afrin people, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to burn and uproot olive trees, confiscate some of them and prevent residents from going to their land and threatening to kill them.

In response to all these egregious violations, Afrin canton's people who are living in Serdem camp in al-Shahba canton have rejected these violations and at the same time denounced the international silence and human rights organizations’ silence toward all these crimes committed against the Afrin residents and its nature and history without any deterrent.

In this regard, the citizen Mohammed Khalil pointed out that the practices and violations of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Afrin indicate their intentions and real objectives of the occupation of Afrin, which is the genocide of the Kurdish people and their history, changing the demographics and features of Afrin and looting and destroying everything in Afrin. Khalil expressed his bitter resentment about the robbery and theft of Afrin people's property their land and their olives are planted in the hands of their ancestors and their parents which was watered by sweat and blood of Afrin people, condemning at the same time the international silence and human rights organizations about all these violations and crimes committed in Afrin before the eyes of everyone without moving a finger.

For her part, citizen Khatoon Mohammed Hassan said, "Afrin is known for its olive oil, and the people of Afrin rely mostly on olive seasons to secure their livelihood. Today, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries loot and burn the people's livelihood before the eyes of the whole world without denouncing these violations against Turkey and its mercenaries. How would Afrin people survive if they were denied of their olives and their land?

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries seized several days ago large spans of land containing thousands of olive trees belonging to the people of Afrin, in conjunction with the placing of signs written on it ( Adal al-Sharqiya ,j ), which indicates that it was confiscated by mercenaries where landowners are denied entering and approaching them.

In addition, mercenaries set fire to thousands of olive trees and forest trees in Afrin canton as part of a series of violations against the residents of Afrin, as well as uprooting trees to create military points and outposts. All this has been happening for several months amid international silence regarding all these violations.
