Concept of cooperative societies spread in Qamishlo

There are 21 collective associations in Qamishlo city in al-Jazeera region north of Syria seeking to serve the community to adopt the associations on the principle of solidarity work that brings together all the people.

The development of the concept of cooperative associations was established on July 19, 2012, with the aim of developing the concept of cooperative associations. After that, committees were formed and centers were opened in all regions of northern Syria to develop the economy of the region. Associations in the city to build a community economy, and to develop new projects in a participatory way that serves all the people of Qamishlo.

The 21 cooperatives associations also aim to create job opportunities for people of all categories and components in all fields, and work to reduce the monopoly of prices and compete with the existing markets in the city so that everyone can secure all the needs and requirements of the day.

The House of Cooperative Societies offers ongoing projects in various fields and is managed by the people participating in the association.

The associations formed in Qamishlo city,10 associations of generators, , distributed in various neighborhoods of the city, and managed by the sons of those neighborhoods. And two livestock associations (sheep fields) in al-Algherbi neighborhood of Qamishlo city, with the aim of supplying meat and dairy products to the markets.

In order to provide the market with women's clothing, Shilan Association for Women's Sewing and Tailoring was founded in al-Hilaliya neighborhood with 40 members.

 Hefei and Nesrin Association are now developing their work and building a detergent factory within the city.

In order to prevent the monopoly of medical medicines, the health association consisting of 85 participants was formed with a value of 100 thousand SYP, for the sale of medical materials in Qamishlo city, and Hevgerten Association for food and detergents, each share is 15 thousand SP.

Women play a prominent role in the associations and dedicate themselves to activating and developing the association, and contributes to building a women's economy through the Lorraine Women's Association, which distributes food and prepares food.

The director of the association's House, Imad Ibrahim, explained that the House seeks to consolidate social relations within society, on the basis of partnership, and to reduce monopoly and manipulation of prices of materials and daily necessities of citizens.
