Ataba village exposed to Turkish violations over 100 years

Ataba village 's people which is consisting of 38 families located on the border between Rojava and Bakur "north Kurdistan", north of Kurdistan has been suffering of the Turkish occupation's violations It has been a victim of the policies practiced against the Kurdish people by the colonial powers. , After the international agreements , Kurdistan  was fragmented to 4 parts between Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran

The first violation of the right of the villagers occurred after the agreement of Lausanne and Sykes-Picot, and the separation fence between Rojava and Bakur Kurdistan (north Kurdistan), where he separated relatives. The Turkish state has been harassing the villagers since that period and continues till now .

The Turkish occupation army tried to burn the village several times in the eighties and nineties of the last century, in addition to the burning of the agricultural seasons for the people of the village and the most recent in 2014, where the Turkish occupation army set fire to the crops of the villagers, and while the people tried to put out the fire to prevent his arrival in the village  two citizens whose names are Abdelkader Omar and Safwan Msho were injured  He was severely burned and taken to Girkê Legê hospitals for treatment.

The Turkish occupation army in the nineties of the last century planted mines along the border between the Rojava and Bakur Kurdistan ,and 4 citizens from the village had lost their lives whose names are :  Musa Suleiman, Nayef Hussein, Mohammed Rasool and Yusuf Omar in addition to the loss of two others for their lives as a result of targeting Were shot dead by members of the Turkish occupation army.  Whose names are Sayed Ahmed Omar and Ata Hussein. Several others were wounded by live bullets and mines planted by the Turkish occupation army, Kankan Nuri, who caused permanent disability.

In the first step of its kind at the level of the region and under fake  pretexts, the Turkish occupation army to confiscate vast areas of the territory of Rojava along the border, on the pretext of protecting its borders to build a separation wall between Rojava and Bakur  Kurdistan and cut along the length of 3 km and 50 meters of land The village and annexed to its land, amid international silence towards the Turkish occupation army incursions into all international covenants and covenants relating to good neighborliness.

Turkish occupation army 's violations are still continuing daily against the villagers, from targeting farmers and herders  and shooting haphazardly  at the village. On 13 August, the Turkish occupation army targeted a cleaning vehicle while municipal workers removed garbage from the village.

Jalal Hussein from the village of Atab and the father of the martyre Bahooz, who was martyred  in the ranks of the Popular Defense Forces HPG in the areas of the right to legitimate defense and martyr Hakki Tirbesipi  journalist in the ranks of the People Protection Units YPG who was  martyred during the Turkish occupation army's shelling of Jabal Karjokh in Kucerat area  on April 26, 2016, who is at  67, explained that their small village has been burned since ancient times by the Turkish occupation army, without any reason and without any regional and international accountability.

Jalal Hussein referred to the planting of the Turkish occupation army mines along the border and targeting the elements of the occupation army and repeatedly to the children of the village. And to burn their crops every year.

"Despite all the violations against us, we are steadfast and we will not leave our village," he said. He appealed to all European countries calling for human rights not to stand idly by about violations committed against them by the Turkish occupation army.
