Orphanage in Kobanî received 1st batch of children

After the opening of the first orphanage in Kobanî at the initiative of the Free Women Association in al-Jazeera region and in coordination with the its counterpart in the Euphrates region, and with the support of external organizations on July 31. Orphanage received today the 1st  batch of orphaned children, consisting of 21 children between the ages of 2 and 10, from the different regions of Rojava and northern Syria from the Kurds and the Arabs.

During the next month, the center will receive more children from all over northern Syria who have lost their parents due to war conditions and others.

The director of the Free Women's Association in Kobanî Vian Rinas "Today we have received the 1st   batch of 21 orphaned children, and we will take care of these children in all aspects of life, living, education and development in all aspects, to ensure a healthy future for them."

Vian noted that the orphanage will host more orphaned children from all Rojava and northern Syria who were orphaned and displaced during the war or who lost their parents for other reasons, Vian  noted "We will take care of them with all our potential."

The orphanage project has been launched by the Women's Association since 2015, and has been completed recently. It has completed its facilities last month and is ready to receive children. According to orphanage programs, the children will receive training and cultural courses and learn languages (Arabic, Kurdish and English) In addition to the allocation of a program to teach them about (computer, arts and sports).

It is noteworthy that in the midst of the Rojava Revolution and the Syrian crisis, and as a result of the battles fought by the people of Rojava and northern Syria against terrorism, many children lost their parents, especially in Kobanî which was subjected to many attacks .
