INMA Awareness Center receives 500 children

INMA center for awareness in al-Hamrat town, which opened its doors to students, INMA Center aims to raise children's awareness and provide psychosocial support to remove them from the black era they experienced during the occupation of IS mercenaries of the area.

The center was opened in al-Hamarat town in the eastern countryside of al-Raqqa city under the supervision of INMA organization in coordination with the Education Committee in al-Karama of al-Raqqa Civil Council.

The center received about 500 children from 6 to 17 years of age, the center includes 20 classrooms as well as an entertainment and theater park.

The center is divided into two sections, the morning section for the ages 6 to 8 years, and the evening section from 9 to 17 years. This age is considered a therapeutic illiteracy and psychological support for children, and the duration of each section is only 3 hours.

The education of children is supervised by 32 trainers. They are divided into several sections: "Psychological Support, Mathematics and Literacy".

The children stay in the center for 3 months, to receive a second batch of children periodically.

"We opened this center to provide support for children, awareness them and take them out of the shadow of IS mercenaries," said Mushlab Darwish, spokesman for the center. "Our goal is to restore security, stability and psychological support the children who were exposed of wars and displacement."

During ISIS period in al-Raqqa city and its countryside, thousands of children were deprived of the right to education as a result of the mercenaries' practices against teachers, children. After the liberation of the city by the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Civil Council works with all its might to revitalize the city again.
