As part of the daily life of the 13,000 displaced people of Ain Issa camp, the problem of water shortage in the camp has been exacerbated for almost two months, prompting the camp administration to find solution

Ain Issa camp administration coordinated with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to dig a second well to provide for the displaced.

The pumping capacity of the well was 9 m3 (45 b / d) per hour, thus saving more water inside the camp.

The well pumps water to the ground reservoir (the main pump) allocated for the distribution of water to reservoirs in each section of the camp through a dedicated network.

In this regard, the displaced Ahmed al-Abed stressed that the water in the camp is available and accessible to all and in good specifications (sterile).

In the same context, the administrator in Ain Issa Jalal al-Ayyaf camp confirmed that 37 liters of water were provided to each person from the camp after digging the second well.

The main pump is a diesel engine that pumps water from the artesian well into a 2,800-square-foot ground tank that pumps 200 m3 daily through the water network distributed to the camp. The water reaches it from the two main wells of the camp and the second well, by the camp administration in coordination with one of the organizations working in it.
