Women's Council opens in Rumaila neighborhood

The members of al-Raqqa Civil Council, the members of the Women's Council of the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa city, the fighters of Syrian Democratic Forces, the Internal Security Forces in al-Raqqa and the members of al-Raqqa Civil Council attended the opening ceremony.

At the scene, the flags of the Free Syrian Women's Council, the Syrian Democratic Forces were hung and the pictures of al-Raqqa city's martyrs who had participated in the liberation campaign.

The opening ceremony began with a minute of silence followed by a number of speeches were delivered by a member of the Women's office ofal-Raqqa Civil Council , Zahra al-Mustafa, a member of the Women's Council in  Democratic Civil Administration in al-Taqab city Wala al-Naji , and administrator in the women's office in al-Rumaila neigborhood Zalika Abdi who congratulated of the opening the council for all women.

The opening of this office will contribute to the organization of women and play their leading role in all fields, especially Arab women who suffered from exclusion and marginalization policies. This is an important step to encourage women's awareness and participation in all fields.

The words pointed out that al-Raqqa city and its countryside were liberated by the blood of its children, who showed heroic resistance to escape from the injustice of IS mercenaries, this council in the Rumaila neighborhood for women to solve all issues related to women.

Afterwards, the band was cut by Martyrs' Families Institution in al-Raqqa city.

Since the liberation of al-Raqqa city and its countryside by virtue of the Syrian Democratic Forces in 20 October last year from grip of IS mercenaries, the Women's Councils in al-Raqqa are reorganizing women by forming their own communes, as well as opening women's academies to develop women.
