YPG Called on people of Afrin to beware of Turkish occupation tricks

The General Command of the People's Protection Units issued a written statement on its official page calling on the people of Afrin and the public opinion to beware of the tricks and plots of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

The text of the statement:

"The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries gangs follow the Kontra methods in Afrin with the aim of deceiving the people of Afrin and trying to distort the image of our forces, and in this way the Turkish occupation army seeks to legitimize its illegal occupation of Afrin.

In addition to the violations committed by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries gangs against the people of Afrin, they impose pressure on the people of Afrin to accept their occupation of the area. The Turkish occupation army, which began the attacks by fabricating lies that "the people of the region are suffering from pressure and injustice" benefited from international silence and committed crimes against humanity. Hundreds of thousands people have been displaced from their homes and thousands of armed gangs and their families from various parts of the country have been resettled in Afrin. Afrin has become a hotbed for dozens of armed jihadist groups. In these situations, the region is witnessing daily cases of fighting between gangs and these cases are increasing day by day. Despite the violations committed by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries of the killing, displacement, abduction, genocide, looting and massacres, the people of Afrin and its villages are still committed to their resistance, rejecting this illegal occupation.

As a last resort, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries gangs are distorting the gains of the people in Rojava in front of world public opinion. The occupation soldiers in Afrin are wearing the uniforms of YPG fighters, putting pressure on the people, plundering and stealing their property and pursuing the Kontra methods.

Therefore, we appeal to our people in Afrin and the public opinion to be careful against these tricks and conspiracies.

We are confident that our people in Rojava and all areas of northern Syria will be cautious about the tricks of the occupier. We declare that these dirty attempts will not be left without a response. "
