Al-Habib: We will not disclaim our democratic project

Hikmat Habib, the member of the presidential body of the Democratic Syrian Council (MSD) pointed out under the condolence tent of his cousin the martyr Mohammed Selmo al-Habib who was a member in the ranks of the Internal Security Forces, and martyred in July 20 while he was performing his duty in Qamişlo city that they are following the footsteps of the martyrs of freedom.

Hikmat al-Habib made it clear to not pay attention to the rumors promoted by some parties to undermine the gains of the area's peoples and enter Syria into other conflicts.

Hikmat al-Habib stated that they, in MSD, are ready to negotiate and hold a national conference for the sake of Syria, and showed their aspiration to the unity of Syria regarding land and people. Al-Habib said, "This does not mean that we put away our major project which is the project of establishing a democratic, federal and de-centralized Syria."

Hikmat al-Habib noted that Syria is not a possession of certain persons, rather, it is the Syrian people's, and he pointed out that the people of the area stand in solidarity with each other and said, "We did not have anything, but with standing together, we managed to accomplish the achievements. With the blood of our heroes who sacrificed their souls for the sake of their country land, we defeated the largest terrorist organization in the world." 

The member of the presidential body of MSD Hikmat al-Habib assured that the democratic and de-centralized project is their major project, and they will not surrender it as this project was proposed by the people of North Syria. Al-Habib said, "Many forces believed in our project and held dialogues with us about saving Syria from destruction,"
