MSD: Manbij bombing  attempt to mute people's voice

MSD issued a statement to the public condemning the terrorist bombing during the demonstration condemning the Turkish intervention in ​​Manbij city, and offered condolences to Manbij people .

The text of the statement:

"The state of stability witnessed in the cities of the north of Syria during the past years was a true expression of the model of co-existence among all components, and its sons were aware of common destiny to impose a state of stability less similar to the territory of the Syrian territory, an honorable position against the interference of the Turkish state and its hardline factions in its internal affairs.

On 5-7-2018, Manbij people came out in the neighborhood of al-Hiyya, protesting against the Turkish intervention in Afrin city, where they were targeted by a terrorist explosion in which a civilian was killed and 22 others were injured. And the stability of the region, and because their goal was to show the reality of the occupier and its destructive policies in the cities of north of Syria.

Such actions targeting civilians are proof of the bankruptcy of mercenaries and their supporters militarily and politically, and an attempt to incite sedition and terrorism among civilians to empty the area of their people and silence the voice of the people who rejected the practices of the Turkish occupation.

We condemn the cowardly terrorist act that targeted civilians, condemn the perpetrators of this act, as well as those who use terrorist organizations to achieve their political and military agendas against the will of the peoples of the region. We also extend condolences to Manbij people."
