Al-Raqqa Youth Council to organize Youth's intellectual rule

During an interview held by ANHA agency with the co-chair al-Raqqa Youth Council Ahmed al-Salem, he touched on the plans put forward by the youths.

Salem said at the beginning of his speech that the Chauvinistic regimes practiced a persecution against the youths and ordered them to learn killing and blackness. However, al-Raqqa city has been liberated by the Democratic Syria Forces (SDF), and the people relieved of injustice, oppression and murder of IS mercenaries."

Salem said that the youths’ work started from the center of al-Hekomia hamlet before the liberation of al-Raqqa city. He pointed out that five courses have been finished, and hundreds of young people joined them. The participation of the youths in the first course gave its echo in all of al-Raqqa which led the youths to engage in the organizational work of the youths.

Salem said that all al-Raqqa's youths are ready to sacrifice in order to save the people of the city from the thought of extremism and terrorism. During the discussions held among the youths of al-Raqqa, the formation of al-Raqqa Youth Council was approved to start work in al-Raqqa in the beginning of May; the young men and women of the city of al-Raqqa. The committee held several meetings in al-Raqqa city and its countryside to consider the views of the youths before the start of the conference’s works and organizing the youths.

Salem described the youth conference as a positive step towards democracy and a new free Syria, and said, "The general discussion in the conference was good. The youths discussed the future of Syria and how to get Syria out of the current crisis and fight foreign interference in the Syrian territories, especially Turkey which occupies some parts of the Syrian geography."

Ahmed al-Salem said that the process of al-Raqqa Youth Council‘s elections were the first democratic elections conducted by the youths of al-Raqqa.

Salem said during his speech that al-Raqqa's youths have a special program to stand against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the north of Syria, pointing out that the council will work on establishing peaceful and democratic minds.

The head of al-Raqqa Youth Council Ahmed al-Salem said at the end of his speech that whoever bet on our death has failed and whoever bet on extinguishing our light has failed. Furthermore, he appealed to all youths and residents of the city to return to the city on the basis of democracy and freedom of opinion.
