Hundreds of Girkê Legê, Çil axa and Dêrik people offered condolences to the family of the Self-Defense Forces’ fighter Fares Ahmed who was martyred in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The ceremony started by holding a minute of silence. Then, the commander in the ranks of the People Protection Units (YPG) Mehi al-Din Khiraki delivered a speech on behalf of the military forces and said, "Today, we have also met again under the tent of hope and the will of our people. We bid farewell another martyr of the Self-Defense Forces who defended his land with courage and sacrificed his spirit to protect his people and his land."

The administrator in Kongra star Nafiya Ali also delivered a speech saying that the Kurdish people and the peoples of the area will continue to defend their gains. Moreover, Nafiya Ali condemned the international silence over what the people of North Syria are exposed to at the hands of the Turkish occupation state.

Furthermore, the condolences ceremony ended by reading the martyr's record and delivering it then to his family.
