The vicinity of Rawia Abdullah's house was bombed by missiles with toxic gases in October 10, 2016. Rawia was infected with poison gases that resulted in swelling, skin burns, dizziness, cough and visual impairment.

Rawia was transferred to Avrin Hospital in Afrin city for receiving the medical treatment, and she remained in intensive care for a period of time. According to the hospital officials, the treatment was free.

Rawia has been not healed well yet and she needs to be treated since the gas that she has been affected by has chronic effects according to specialists in Avrin Hospital.

Rawia was receiving her treatment in Avrin Hospital even before the Turkish occupation army’s attack launched on Afrin canton in January 20.

Rawia’s medical treatment was stopped after the attack launched by the Turkish occupation army on Afrin due to the severe pressure that was witnessed in the hospital as it was daily receiving dozens of civilian wounded and martyrs who were left as a result of the bombing of the Turkish occupation army.

There is neither capacity nor medical staff in al-Shahba canton to provide Rawia the medical treatment, and Rawia does not have enough money to treat herself in other areas such as Aleppo.

A delegation led by Russian General Murat Mussin came to Om Hosh village to make sure whether poison gases had been used or not.

At a press conference held to reveal the results, Mussin said, "We proved that the chemical gases were used in Om Hosh village which is related to al- Shahba areas, and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, and we came to Avrin Hospital to see the people who were infected in Om Hosh village. After analyzing the soils and the places where shell fell on, it has been proved that mustard gas was used during the bombardment, and chlorine gas was used in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood."

Rawia still lives in her village Om Hosh which was liberated by the Revolutionary Forces in late 2016 and is waiting for anyone to consider her situation.

In an indication to the details of the incident, Rawia said that during the shelling, she and her 13-year-old daughter were outside the house. Rawia continued, "After the shelling, I came home without my daughter. When I inhaled the gas, I lost consciousness after I got away from the house a bit ".

Rawia Abdullah appealed to the humanitarian organizations and the International Red Cross to provide her with assistances to complete her medical treatment.
