Tara Hussein: Our goal is to build a democratic Iraq

The parties of Iraq and Başûr Kurdistan (South Kurdistan) are preparing to run for parliamentary elections scheduled on May 12. The Kurdistan Society Freedom Party is running for these elections for first time through the New Generation list in alliance with the democratic forces.

The spokeswoman for the Kurdistan Society Freedom Party Tara Hussein told the news agency of Hawar on the preparations for the elections and the overall electoral process in Başûr Kurdistan and Iraq.

'People want pluralistic ideology and ideas'

Tara Hussein said, "When we talk to the people, we find that they want to see the students of Abdullah Ocalan’s ideology and ideas calling for the freedom of the Kurdish people and humanity in the Iraqi parliament. We are taking part in the elections through the New Generation list. Our list includes candidates from all components of the Kurds and Arabs and different beliefs."

'We will work for the people' interests”

Tara Hussein pointed out that the people want to see a new experience because the parties and officials who have run the people so far have worked for partisan interests or the family. When these parties' relations with the Iraqi administration deteriorated, this had a direct impact on the lives of the people at various economic and moral levels. We seek to overcome these models, and instead we work for the benefit of the Kurdish people and the people of Iraq. Our candidates do not work for families and wealthy people, we are members of this people and this society, and the people are happy for that."

'Our candidates are characterized by good reputation'

Tara said, “We are confident of our candidates; they have a good reputation and they did not involve in corruption and bribery issues. We are a new generation, and we will struggle in the parliament for the demands of the people, the hard workers and the youths, and we will continue to fight for the sake of the people. The people depend on us, and in our role, we pledge to work for everyone whose rights have been looted and for the martyrs' families. "

‘Kirkuk's people do not want the Democratic Party'

Tara Hussein discussed the participation of the Kurdistan Society Democratic Party in the elections in Kirkuk and noted that the forces that were present in Kirkuk and Khormatu were unable to defend them in October 16, 2017. She said, "They did not fire a single bullet."

She added "Even if they wanted to run for elections, the people would not accept them. Kirkuk people rejected the Iraqi government. They also reject the administration of Başûr Kurdistan."

The spokeswoman for the Kurdistan Society Freedom Movement Tara Hussein appealed to the people of Başûr Kurdistan to vote for the New Generation list.
