Turkish occupation, its gangs prepare to penetrate into Lattakia countryside

Turkish-backed mercenary groups are preparing to launch an offensive against the regime's forces in Latakia countryside, days after the end of Ankara summit, which discussed the sharing of Turkish-Russian-Iranian influence on Syrian territory, sources said.

"Most of the mercenary groups operating in Idlib province are preparing to start a battle with Turkish support to control Jabel al-Akrad and Jabal al-Turkmens mounts in Lattakia countryside.

The sources added that the expected attack may relate to the recent understandings and deals between Russia and Turkey, which took place during the recent meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian Vladimir Putin and Iranian Hasan Rowhani.

These developments coincide with the entry of Turkish occupation army into the northern countryside of Hama and occupy what it calls the Ninth Monitoring Point in Murak, Lahaya and Latmin, in the so-called "de-escalation zones" agreement that Idlib was included in last September.

A Turkish newspaper, published in September 2017, reported that Turkey, in cooperation with mercenary gangs, would enter the western area of Idlib city, overlooking Hatay state, at a depth of 35 km and a length of 130 km.

She pointed out that Turkish occupation forces will enter through Jisr al-Shughour and Daret Izza, and aim to control two prominent areas within stretching areas from Afrin, to Jabel al-Turkmens in Lattakia.

The sources confirmed that the soldiers of Turkish occupation army and its leaders went with the leaders of the mercenaries of al-Rahman corps to Khan Sheikoun city in rural Idlib and then south-west of Khan Sheikhoun to al-Sayiad village to Kafer Zita, Lahaya and Murak in the north of Hama and reached the point of al-Aboud south of Morak adjacent to areas controlled by troops of the Syrian regime in one kilometer away.
