A new round of negotiations on al-Nahda Dam was held Thursday, with the participation of the ministers of water and external Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia, intelligence and technical managers, and ended in the early this morning.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said "Despite the lack of consensus, I can say that the discussion was constructive, detailed and important, and we could have come out of it and provide satisfactory answers to many questions."

But this is the case of contentious issues which need patience and will.

Ghandour pointed out that the issue was left to the Ministry of Irrigation and water and technical bodies, and when they saw that the political and intelligence bodies, we are ready, because we are working according to the directives of the three presidents.
It is noteworthy that the points of disagreement mainly lies in the two most important things in terms of filling the dam reservoir in the early stages of its operation and the second matter in how to manage the dam between the three countries.

Egypt is also concerned about the impact of the dam on its water supply, which could dry part of its fertile agricultural land, which Ethiopia denies, and says it serves the development plans of all parties.
