140 fighters join Self-Defense Forces 

The Defense Body in North and East Syria, in coordination with the General Command of the Self-Defense Forces and the Leadership of the Euphrates Canton Academies, has inaugurated a new training course named after the martyr Mohammed Al-Nasser. The course is being held at the Martyr Jamal Kobani Academy in the city of Mansoura in the countryside of Tabqa.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by dozens of residents from Tabqa canton, as well as commanders from the Tabqa Military Council, the Self-Defense Forces in North and East Syria, and the Internal Security Forces.

The course includes 140 participants and will last for two months. During this period, the fighters will receive ideological, political, and military lessons as part of an intensive training program aimed at enhancing their combat efficiency and awareness within the Self-Defense Forces.

The opening ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a speech from Elan Jan, the Co-Chair of the Self-Defense Duty Office in Tabqa. She welcomed the participants of the course.

Elan Jan emphasized the importance of the course, stating, “Training at this stage reflects our commitment to the path of struggle laid down by the martyrs. You are the ones who will carry this journey forward, you are our hope and our role models.”

She added that “joining the Self-Defense Forces is a moral duty for all the sons and daughters of the region.”

The ceremony concluded with the new recruits taking an oath, pledging to defend the land, the people, and the achievements against all internal and external threats.
