1,100 families benefit from food baskets in Qamishlo

The Kurdish Red Crescent distributed food baskets to 1,100 displaced families residing in the city of Qamishlo, with distribution scheduled to continue tomorrow, Friday.

Today, the Kurdish Red Crescent distributed food baskets provided by the Kirkuk Charity Foundation to 1,100 displaced families living in homes in the Corniche and Western neighborhoods of Qamishli. The distribution took place at 12 March Stadium.

The aid distribution process will resume tomorrow, covering seven neighborhoods: Corniche, Western, Hilaliya, Qadourbek, Al-Antariya, Al-Arbawiya, and Judi.

The Kirkuk Charity Foundation sent 27 aid trucks in two convoys — the first consisting of 15 trucks and the second of 12 — in addition to 45 tons of medicines provided by the Kirkuk Charity Foundation, Channel 8, and the Holost Bloc. Of this amount, 40 tons were delivered to Al-Shaab Hospital, while 5 tons were distributed to mobile clinics.

The beneficiaries of this aid are displaced people from Afrin, Al-Shahba, and Aleppo, who were displaced due to the attacks that targeted the cities of Raqqa and Tabqa, as well as the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo during the recent period.
