The raid took place late Wednesday into Thursday and involved limited clashes and arrests. A young man was shot and killed during the operation.

According to the Syrian Observatory, the operation led to the arrest of several residents in the village, amid intense surveillance by a reconnaissance drone flying over the area during the raid.

This incident comes amid ongoing tensions in some border areas southwest of Damascus. Just four days prior, Israeli forces targeted a vehicle with a drone near the Beit Jinn farm in the southwestern countryside of Damascus, close to the administrative border with Quneitra, resulting in one fatality.

Meanwhile, Israeli incursions continue in various areas of Quneitra. On the previous day, an Israeli army patrol entered the village of Al-Qahtaniyah and spread throughout residential neighborhoods. No clear information has been reported regarding the reasons or objectives of this sudden move.

The incursion coincided with loudspeaker announcements urging residents to stay indoors and not leave their homes, causing anxiety among the local population.

Additionally, a binman was arrested in the same village and released a few hours later. He arrived at the Golan National Hospital in a state of severe exhaustion. It was revealed that he had suffered a heatstroke and multiple bruises on his back due to violent treatment by Israeli forces during the arrest, with no explanation provided regarding the reasons for his detention or the conditions of his release.
