The young man, Janyar Jabo, from the village of Kakhra in rural Afrin, has achieved notable academic success in Germany after being selected to study mathematics at the University of Duisburg–Essen at just sixteen years old.

Janyar arrived in Germany with his family at the end of 2017, where he began his education from the second grade without any prior knowledge of the German language, facing a challenge shared by many newly arrived children.

Thanks to his dedication and perseverance, he managed to overcome the language barrier and quickly integrate into the German education system, continuing his academic excellence and later moving to the “Landfermann Gymnasium,” one of the most prestigious secondary schools in Germany.

Throughout his studies, Janyar particularly excelled in mathematics, where his exceptional abilities drew the attention of his teachers and school administration, who closely monitored his academic performance and praised his outstanding scientific level.

Following a series of evaluations and academic assessments, he was nominated to join the mathematics program at the University of Duisburg–Essen, beginning his university studies at an early age in a step that reflects the extent of his talent and academic excellence.

Janyar Jabo’s story represents a model of determination and ambition, highlighting students’ ability to transform the challenges of displacement and migration into inspiring success stories through persistence, hard work, and continuous pursuit of academic goals.
