The Free Women’s Units – Star (YJA-Star) have executed a series of strategic operations targeting Turkish occupation forces in the Medya Defense Zones of Southern Kurdistan.

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement today detailing the recent guerrilla operations against the Turkish occupation army in the Medya Defense Zones. The statement included the following:

 Operations in Şehîd Delîl Region (Western Zap)

 January 27, 14:40 – YJA-Star fighters launched an attack with heavy weaponry on Turkish occupation soldiers stationed in the resistance stronghold of Judi Hill.

 January 29, 08:00 – Fighters of the Free Women's Units – Star targeted enemy forces with heavy weaponry at Amêdî Hill.

 January 29, 13:20 – Guerrilla forces engaged Turkish soldiers approaching the combat tunnels at Judi Hill using light arms.

 January 29, 14:50 – A sniper operation was conducted against Turkish forces attempting to deploy artillery at Amêdî Hill.

 Operations in Metîna Region

 January 27, 03:20 – YJA-Star fighters launched an assault with heavy weapons on enemy positions in Serê Metîna.

 January 29, 16:45 – A Turkish surveillance camera in Serê Metîna was successfully neutralized by sniper fire.

 Turkish Occupation Army’s Use of Prohibited Weapons

 January 29 – Combat tunnels in the Judi Hill resistance zone (Şehîd Delîl region, Western Zap) were bombarded four times with internationally banned weapons.

 January 30 – The Amêdî Hill resistance tunnels (Western Zap) were hit twice with prohibited munitions.

 January 30 – Combat tunnels in the Şîlazê resistance zone (Metîna region) were struck twice with banned weaponry.

 Aerial and Ground Strikes by the Turkish occupation army

 Between January 28 and 30, Turkish warplanes carried out:

 Three airstrikes on resistance zones in Xnerjor, Berbizîn, and Koşîn (Xakurkê region).

 Nine aerial bombardments on Dirêş, Deşta Kafya, Kanî Sark, Erken, and Zîvke (Gare region).

 Two airstrikes on the resistance zone of Beşîlî (Metîna region).

 Five attacks on Judi and Amêdî Hills (Şehîd Delîl region, Western Zap).

 The total number of airstrikes conducted by Turkish warplanes over this period reached 19 raids.

 Additionally, on January 28, Turkish attack helicopters launched nine strikes on the resistance positions at Bahar Hill (Western Zap).
