Two awareness-raising seminars organized by the Women’s Empowerment and Awareness Association in Swedia addressed issues of gender-based violence and laws that discriminate against women, with the aim of raising awareness of women’s rights and introducing ways to protect and empower them legally and socially.

The Women’s Empowerment and Awareness Association in Swedia organized two awareness-raising seminars today addressing issues related to women’s rights, as part of its efforts to promote community awareness, raise awareness of women’s rights, and combat violence and discrimination.

The first seminar focused on gender-based violence and was moderated by Ghosaina Salah. It discussed the various forms of violence, as well as their causes and effects, along with the importance of awareness and prevention and strengthening mechanisms to protect women and girls.

The second seminar addressed laws that discriminate against women and was presented by lawyer Rania Areij. The discussion examined key forms of discrimination that may be found in certain legislation, their implications for women’s rights, and the importance of legal and community efforts to achieve equality and justice.

The two seminars are part of the association’s activities aimed at enhancing women’s legal and social awareness and creating spaces for dialogue on issues affecting their rights. These efforts contribute to building a more aware and equitable society and combating various forms of violence and discrimination.
