Women: Physical freedom of Leader Ocalan key to true peace

Organized by Kongra Star in Hasaka, Jazira Canton, thousands of women from Hasaka, al-Shaddadi, al-Darbasiyah, Tal Tamer, Tal Brak, al-Hol, and Zirghan, as well as women from the Serêkaniyê and Washukani camps, took part in the mass march calling for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. Participants held up photos of Leader Ocalan and the flags of Kongra Star.

The march began at Marsho Roundabout in the city and, upon reaching Freedom Square, a statement on behalf of Kongra Star was delivered by Walida Bouti, a member of the organization in Hasaka. She said: “We send our greetings to Leader Abdullah Ocalan. He has waged a historic resistance for 26 years in Imrali prison. The achievements gained by women today are thanks to the leader's thought and philosophy. We will protect these gains and will not give up our struggle until our leader is physically free.”

Meanwhile, Badriya Hassan, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination in Hasaka, emphasized that there can be no freedom or peace without the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. She said: “The conspiratorial powers tried to break the will of women, but Leader Abdullah Ocalan turned Imrali prison into a school for every free woman.”

The march concluded with chants and raised fists, affirming the ongoing struggle until the physical freedom of the leader is achieved.
