Videos reveal Transitional Govt.'s attacks on protesters in Syria's interior, coast

Activists on social media in Syria circulated videos documenting violations committed by the Transitional Government Forces against protesters in the interior and coast during demonstrations rejecting the government's policies. The videos showed scenes of vehicles running over protesters, assaults, and indiscriminate gunfire in several locations, in addition to footage showing the intimidation of protesters using armored vehicles.

Videos circulated by activists on social media show violations committed by the Syrian Transitional Government Forces against protesters in coastal and inside areas of Syria, during demonstrations demanding federalism and the right to self-determination.

In a prominent video from Latakia, members of the Transitional Government Forces are seen firing directly at protesters, resulting in multiple injuries and sparking panic and chaos among the demonstrators.

In another video, a person is seen stabbing protesters in Latakia, causing varying degrees of injury, as the protesters try to escape the danger and protect their lives.

A third video shows a car running over protesters at the Azhari Roundabout in Latakia, causing widespread panic and fear, while others intervene to avoid a direct collision.

Activists said that these scenes document the escalating violence against protests in the Syrian coast and interior, amid urgent local and international calls to ensure the safety of protesters, and stop the repeated attacks, with growing fears of a deteriorating security situation and its repercussions on the civil movement in the region.
