Unknown airstrike on outskirts of al-Bukamal

A site in the countryside of al-Bukamal city in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside was subjected to an unknown airstrike, and sources reported that a drone, believed to be affiliated with the International Coalition, targeted a location belonging to forces associated with "Iran."

A loud explosion was heard in the vicinity of the city of al-Bukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, within areas controlled by the Damascus government forces. Residents speculated that it might be a new targeting by the International Coalition of the Damascus government forces' positions and other armed groups affiliated with them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights SOHR reported that the sound was the result of an airstrike by an unknown drone targeting a base of Iranian-affiliated groups in Salhiya in the countryside of al-Bukamal, with no information on casualties so far.

While local media sources and outlets reported that the International Coalition was the one that targeted one of the "sites of Iranian-backed groups in the village of Salhiya in the countryside of al-Bukamal."
