The body of Ibrahim Mousa Mieh, a law student, was found one day after he went missing in the city of Homs, while his family called for the circumstances of the crime to be uncovered and those responsible to be held accountable.

ANHA correspondent in Homs reported that residents found the body of 19-year-old Ibrahim Mousa Mieh on Tuesday, about a day after he went missing in the city of Homs, in an incident that caused grief and anger among his family and residents of his hometown.

According to local sources, Ibrahim, a second-year law student from the village of Tareen in the western countryside of Homs, went missing on the morning of August 3 after leaving his home in the Bab al-Dreib neighborhood to go to a shop, before contact with him was lost.

The sources added that his body was found on Tuesday morning in the Besatin al-Waer area and was transferred to al-Walid Hospital to complete legal procedures before being handed over to his family, who held his funeral and buried him in his hometown of Tareen.

The victim's family and local community figures called on the relevant authorities to conduct a transparent and swift investigation to uncover the circumstances and details of the crime and bring those responsible to justice.

The incident comes as Homs Governorate has witnessed repeated cases of killings and abductions, raising growing concerns among residents and renewing calls for stronger security measures, faster investigations, and efforts to protect civilians and uphold the rule of law.
