Today, a UN humanitarian aid convoy arrived in the city of al-Hasakah as part of efforts to support residents and displaced persons facing dire humanitarian circumstances due to ongoing attacks by mercenaries of Syria’s interim government.

The convoy included 30 trucks carrying essential food items and relief supplies, accompanied by a supervising delegation of UN staff. The aid is intended for distribution among displaced people who have recently arrived in al-Jazira canton.

The arrival of this assistance comes at a time when civilian suffering, especially among children is increasing due to continued attacks in the area, targeting villages in al-Hasakah and Jal Agha countryside. The persistent threat of new attacks has further exacerbated the humanitarian situation, making enhanced relief efforts imperative.
