On the occasion of the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism, the United Nations Commission of Inquiry in Syria said on its account on the “X” platform: “We call on countries to return their children from Al-Hol camp in NE Syria.”

And warned of the danger of their remaining in the camp, "where they are exposed to the risk of indoctrination and extremism."

The Committee urged states to continue to seek accountability for mass atrocities committed by ISIS mercenaries.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Al-Hol camp supervises about 8,000 families of foreign ISIS mercenaries belonging to more than 50 nationalities, including “children and women.”

Last January and this February, the camp witnessed the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation launched by the Internal Security Forces, due to the movement of ISIS cells in the camp, and the cells, alongside ISIS women, continue to spread ISIS extremist ideology among the camp residents, and work to raise an extremist generation by educating children according to ISIS teachings.
