The Armenian Ministry of Defense said, in a statement, that: “Units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire with small arms towards Armenian combat positions in the Nerkin Hand.”

It indicated that 2 soldiers were killed and a number of others were injured.

In turn, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense stated that Armenian soldiers opened fire twice, late Monday, on the village of Kokhanabe in the Touz region (northeast), something Armenia denied.

2 wars broke out between Yerevan and Bako in 2020 and in the 1990s to control the Nagroni-Karabakh region, which Azerbaijan finally regained as part of a lightning attack last year, with Turkish support.
