On Sunday–Monday night, two artillery shells landed in the fields surrounding the village of Abidin in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside. The shells are believed to have originated from the Israeli side of the Golan Heights. No casualties or material losses were reported.

The incident comes amid intensified Israeli military movements along the border strip with Syria. Two days earlier, an Israeli army patrol consisting of four military vehicles had advanced into the outskirts of the village of Suwaysa in southern Quneitra, near the Syrian border area.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), recent weeks have seen a notable increase in Israeli strikes targeting military sites and positions across southern Syria, against a backdrop of mounting tension along the border region.
