Turkish intelligence is deployed at checkpoints of Tal Afar
Information revealed that members of the Turkish intelligence carrying Iraqi Turkmen Front identities were deployed at checkpoints in the Tal Afar district and were attacking the people.

According to news published on the Lekolin.org website, the occupying Turkish state, as part of its efforts to drag Iraq into attacks against the Freedom Movement, is also deploying Turkish Intelligence (MİT) elements in areas of Iraq.
The news stated that after the Kurdistan Democratic Party withdrew its forces from the region on October 16, 2017, Turkish intelligence intensified its movements under the name of the Iraqi Turkmen Front in Kirkuk, Kifri, and Tal Afar, who openly promote Turkish racist ideas, and also target their achievements at every opportunity.
Some Turkmen Front groups, which Turkey reportedly trained in Bashiqa, were placed on the premises of this organization under the name of the security forces. During the past two years, they were also placed at some checkpoints between Shengal and Kirkuk.
It is said in the news of the Lekolin.org website that the special units of the Turkish intelligence service have deployed again under the name of the Turkmen Front at the checkpoints of Tal Afar since the beginning of last month.
The news is based on the statements of a businessman who goes to and from the region and talks about the practices of Turkish intelligence. The businessman named D. A. K. says: “On March 23, 2024, while waiting at the Tel Afar checkpoint, some people with Turkmen Front IDs stopped the car and interrogated the passengers. They asked questions such as: Are you Kurdish or Syrian? Are you linked to the Kurdish movement or not? They said: ‘These areas You are now being interrogated by the Republic of Turkey.” Therefore, do not allow those who are in contact with the Kurdish movement to get into your cars, otherwise you will be sent to Turkish prisons, and you will not be allowed to see your families.
Tal Afar is a district of Mosul and is located between Shengal and Mosul.
