"Turkey must take concrete steps following initiative launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan"

Communities throughout the region, Kurdistan, and North and East Syria emphasize the need for the Turkish state to take concrete steps following the call launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Hussein Khalid, a resident of Tirbespiyê in al-Jazira Canton, noted that the region is going through a sensitive period, and that there are many crises and wars in the Middle East and around the world. He said, "We know that these problems are closely interconnected, including the Kurdish issue, which Leader Abdullah Ocalan has expressed his willingness to resolve, especially after all parties realized that a military solution is useless."

Hussein Khalid noted that several local, regional, and international parties have expressed their support for Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call, saying, "However, the Turkish authorities have not taken any tangible steps to demonstrate their good intentions. The leader's physical freedom must be achieved, the prisons must be opened, and freedom of expression and political activity must be granted."

Citizen Rahma Mulla Bashir emphasized that Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call is receiving significant popular support, as the Kurdish people and other components recognize the importance of this initiative and trust in Leader Abdullah Ocalan's abilities to resolve outstanding issues.

Rahma Mulla Bashir explained, "To date, Turkey has not taken serious steps toward the leader's initiative. The Turkish authorities must realize that their failure to respond to this initiative will harm Turkey before everyone else."

Citizen Naim Othman pointed out that the Turkish authorities are required today to take steps toward peace, saying, "The major powers are required to pressure Turkey to move toward peace.
