Armed members of the transitional government forces in Syria abducted a young man from the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, amid the recent security tensions witnessed in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah districts.

The Afrin – Syria Human Rights Organization reported that on Tuesday, October 7, the armed men of the transitional government forces kidnapped Mohammed Fadel Mohammed (18 years old), originally from Sharran in the occupied Afrin countryside and residing in Sheikh Maqsoud, Aleppo. The abduction took place in the context of the ongoing security unrest in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah, raising fears of escalating violations against civilians.

The organization noted that the fate of the young man remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the transitional government continues to hold Imad Aref Horo (17 years old), who has been detained since October 7, after he left Sheikh Maqsoud toward the New Syriac neighborhood in Aleppo. His family held the transitional government responsible for his safety and demanded his immediate release.
